2020 – The Five Lessons

Hello Wild Ones 🌷🌷🌷

I hope you are well and taking really good care of yourself. I hope you know how amazing you are and never let anyone put you down. I am currently full of hope and have a very busy schedule but I am surviving.

Side Note: See how good I look I was modeling for my auntie’s Instagram shop, If you are in Kenya check it out here.

  1. Your Mental Health is your responsibility- This year taught me that just because people are the source of your trauma, it’s never their responsibility to fix what they broke. I kept going back to the places I got broken waiting to be fixed but I only got even more broken.
  2. The importance of Boundaries– In the beginning of this year, I had really weak boundaries that made me put myself in situations that I didn’t need to be in. I am so glad that I know better now.
  3. Self-Love– I discovered that I cannot pour from an empty cup. I have to fill my cup with love before loving others. This led to discover the art of loving myself through my love languages.
  4. Co-dependency– I discovered how my trauma makes me want to fix people and show up even when I shouldn’t. I am slowly shedding this behavior.
  5. Importance of my twenties– I read Meg Jay’s “The Defining Decade” and learnt about the importance of the foundation that I lay right now.

What lessons did you get this year?

I think the overarching lesson for me this year is that I will never take for granted:

The ability to go wherever I want
    Whenever I want
    With whoever I want

    Ever again<3
