Body Series

This series hopes to explore issues that women face when it comes to insecurities about their bodies and societal pressures. (I was going to write just my experience then I realized that that’s just one body type) I hope this style makes sense to y’all. Feel free to go back and read other articles for this series.

Alien, today I will be letting us sit with some of these girls. You need to see what society has done to these girls. I will let you even see these girls before I never let you met them. We just listen to their stories. I need you to see how sad they are. I need you to see how fucked society has made them.

Meet ‘Just a little more weight‘ girl. Look at this beautiful girl alien, She is as graceful as a swan. Look at those beautiful long legs. Have you seen her walk? Can you believe that this girl is on a diet to gain more weight because someone called her, ‘An anorexic piece of crap!’ She keeps looking at ‘Just need to lose a little weight‘ girl to see what she should be. She has put a wallpaper in her mind of this girl that she looks to everytime she eats despite being full.

Meet ‘Just need to lose a little weight’ girl. Alien look at those glorious curves. She looks like God spent hours curving her out. She is a masterpiece. Can you believe that she believes that she is not beautiful? She knows all the fat shamers’ jabs by heart that she finishes their sentences when they start. She is on a diet and always skipping meals. She has tried too many slimming teas. She wishes to be just like ‘Just a little more weight‘ and always praying to God to let her look like that.

Alien, I have watched these girls compliment each other and the weirdest part is how they never seem to realize that they idolize each other. They look at each other and whisper prayers with lots of wishful thinking. It breaks my heart every time they don’t believe each others compliments because they wish they had each other grasses. I have watched the shade of green envy grow to hatred sometimes. I just wish they just knew that they were perfect as they are.

This is the reality of most women where society finds a way to pit women against each other by always making them feel less and putting another woman on a pedestal. There is this behavior where women are often complimented by putting other women down. A phrase like, ‘Not like other girls,’ just says that women cannot all be good. It isolates the ‘good’ woman from the other women.

Here are some tips that could help those girls fall in love with themselves in a cruel world like this.

  • Compliment your body part
  • Take that body part on a date or a movie night like Jane from The Bold Type did for her boobs.
  • Follow people with your body type on social media, it always helps to see them looking really good.
  • Fall in love with yourself so no one can tell you anything about your body
  • Taking good pictures of yourself so that you can look at them on days you feel less helps a lot.
  • Remember you are sexy as hell

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you idolize the looks of someone so much that you even start to hate them for being so ‘perfect’?

Yes, it’s true that most women get into catfights because of insecurities. It’s really important to practice self-love. Being envious is a sign of insecurity because of lack of self-love.

I’ve never hated anyone for being better or prettier than me, I admire them for it or even have a girl crush on them 😄 I get more inspired to do and be the same.

I often feel that society makes it like that. There is this notion that we are all supposed only perfect woman. We are all chasing that perfection that is in vain.

You are doing it right. I make it my point to tell women that I admire that I admire them. Sometimes the idea is so foreign that some accuse me of hitting on them.🤣

      1. Joana says:

So true, they often accused me of being a lesbian when I say I have a girl crush on someone 😆 I mean there’s nothing wrong with being a lesbian it’s just that I’m not. 😅

  4. I really love this.
